Overview
Bear Hunt is a great way to earn hero essence stones and resources.
Each player can take part in the trap once every 2 days. After you participate, you can attack the bear again from the start of the second calendar day in server time (UTC). In plain terms: attack on Monday, skip all of Tuesday, and from Wednesday 00:00 UTC you can go again.
The trap time can only be moved back by 25 minutes; moving it forward is unlimited.
Main rules of the Bear Hunt
- Use your best heroes in your own rally.
- Join with the right heroes.
- Activate your pets' skills.
- Marksmen deal the most damage — use troop ratios of 5/5/90, 10/10/80 or 10/20/70.
- Join as many rallies of strong players as you can.
Pet skills
Before the fight, activate your pets' combat skills — they give a noticeable boost to bear damage.
Joining a rally
When you join a rally, the first (top-right) expedition skill of your leftmost hero feeds into the shared rally bonus.
You can also join a rally with no heroes, or with heroes up to 1–3 stars, since their skills most likely will not be applied.
Creating a rally
When you create a rally, all skills of all three heroes are active. Out of everyone who joins, the game takes the first 4 skills with the highest level.

Formations
So you do not have to look for the right heroes every time, you can set up heroes and troop ratios in advance. Go to the Governor profile → Troops → Formations.
